What is the size, equipment and design of the recording studios ?
Each recording studio has a monitoring room equipped with a sound card and active monitors for sound capture, mixing and editing, as well as a vocal booth for recording voices and instruments.

Maximum capacity/occupancy of recording studios.
Our recording studios are designed for a maximum capacity of 5 people. For your own safety, please do not accommodate more than 5 people in a recording studio. Failure to comply with the maximum capacity allowed is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in account suspension and a fine.

Is there a sound engineer at Plug The Jack studios?
At Plug The Jack you are your own sound engineer and you are totally autonomous.

What is the material/equipment in the recording studios ?
Our production and recording studios are equipped with an 8 input Focusrite Clarett+ 4pre audio interface, two microphones for your recordings (Sure MV7 & sE2300) and 2 Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones. The control room is equipped with two Focal Evo 65 monitors. We provide all computer connection cables to/from the microphones/console, except for any USB hubs you may need. You will have many options for connecting to the power.

Before your session and what to bring ?
We do not provide a computer. Bring your own laptop (including power supply, keyboard and mouse if necessary) and audio software. We provide a 27' screen and HDMI cable in the studio.

Before you start your sessions, make sure you install the Focusrite driver & control app by following this link.

Need help or advice during your session?
Plug The Jack does not offer courses or lessons. We let you progress at your own pace when it comes to using the equipment we provide, as learning is part of the creative process. There are many tutorials on the internet to help you with hardware/software and production techniques.
